SR Touch - A finer density cushioning compound in the heel which absorbs impact stress better than previous technologies.
Mizuno Wave - Provides excellent cushioning by dispersing the force of impact across a larger surface area. The stability aspect of Wave technology is gained by the construction differing between the outside (lateral) and the inside (medial) of the shoe, therefore resisting the compression of the midsole in high pressure areas.
Double Fan Shaped Wave - This extended Wave plate offers pronation control support by activating the wave plate earlier in the running cycle.
AP+ - Midsole cushioning compound which maintains lightweight effective cushioning through the cycle.
Mizuno Intercool - An innovative full-length ventilation system which gives the runner outstanding breathability and comfort, keeping your feet dry and cool.

Key changes to the Inspire in this 9th Edition include a drop in weight from 322 to 306 Grams (Size 9's). A fantastic reduction for the series, especially while it manages to maintain it's feel, largely keeping the midsole the same from the previous edition. This has been achieved partly through an upper re-construction which sees several overlays removed to offer greater freedom in the forefoot as well seeing the meshing developed finer, to work superbly with the honeycombing of Mizuno's Intercool technology to give the runner even more breathability with an internal structure that conforms better to your running stride, improving both fitting and comfort. SR Touch is the new heel cushioning technology which replaced VS-1 as a lighter yet softer and less dense compound, which gives you better impact resistance upon heelstrike.
