AIRmesh - Allows each running shoe from Mizuno to maintain a high standard of breathability for the life of the shoe, and allows for the foot to stay cool.
X-10 - Provides the most durable carbon rubber from Mizuno that alllows for longer wear in high impact areas and provides more traction at heel strike.
Mizuno Wave - Provides excellent cushioning by dispersing the force of impact across a larger surface area.
SmoothRide Engineered - A combination solid rubber/blown rubber forefoot outsole design for cushioning, durability and flexibility.

Featuring an abundance of Mizuno's technology, including the revolutionary Wave System and SmoothRide Engineering, the Ultima now also offers a full-length AP+ midsole unit which improves cushioning and comfort, whilst being more lightweight than its predecessor. VS-1 rear-foot cushioning helps to also absorb shock and helps minimise the risk of shock related injuries to the foot. Alongside this, Mizuno have also incorporated X-10 durable carbon rubber for the outsole and a new removable insole which can be removed with ease, allowing for addition sole supports.
